Welcome to our SUDSOL Blog Tour! You will see tons of amazing samples on this tour make sure to add yourself to the blogs and check out the SUDSOL Group. SUDSOL has tons of great ideas and tutorials for everyone. I love looking at ideas to get my brain going when I’m stuck with no brain activity. I even CASE ( Copy and Share Everything), no shame in that. If someone copies what you created that is one of the best compliments one can get.
For my three samples I choose to show the Bunch of Blossoms Stamp Set with the Blossom Builder Punch. I created three cards that I can’t wait to show you.
I love how this card turned out. I used the Melon Mambo Ink first and second generation stamping. Explanation, I stamped the stamp image that is the background of the flower in the Melon Mambo then stamped it on my Grid Sheets to get off some of the ink (this is 2nd generation stamping). The top layer of the stamp I inked up and then stamped right on top of the first image ( thus first generation stamping). I did not use the last stamp that has the lines of the flower. I then punched these out with the Blossom Builder Punch.
For the stem and the leaves I used Pear Pizzazz ink. The stem was 2nd generation and the leaves. The veins in the leaves are 1st generation stamping.
Around the words and the flower rectangle I just lightly touched all the edges to the Melon Mambo Ink Pad, I like how it give the cards just a little more.
Now one of my favorite things about SUDSOL is the instant icon button they have, check it out! If you are a demonstrator it will link right to your Stampin’Up! Website.
My second card uses the same Designer Series Paper, Fruit Stand. This designer series paper is meant to go perfectly with the Fresh Fruit Stamp Set, but it goes great with Bunch of Blossoms, too.
To create this card I didn’t do generation stamping, instead I used different colors of ink. New In Color Peekaboo Peach. I did do the generation stamping with the leaves using another new In Color Emerald Envy. The stem is 1st generation stamping right onto the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper. This ribbon is awesome, it comes in the New 2016-2017 In Colors , this is of course the Peekaboo Peach 3/8″ Runched Ribbon. The bottom of the flower, green part is just another flower from the stamp set, but I only used part of it for the base.
Ok , check it out again, all I have to do is go on SUDSOL to instant icons and punch in numbers and there it is. How Awesome is that?!
For my last card I decided to use By the Shore Designer Series Paper and go a different direction than flowers. Have you ever heard of the story of the boy that is throwing star fish ( sea stars as they are now called) back into the ocean. Then an old man tells him it doesn’t matter what he is doing, he will never get all of them back in the ocean. The boy replies it matters to this one. That is my inspiration for this card.
This saying is great, sometimes we just need to know we matter. The saying is also in the Bunch of Blossoms Stamp Set. It has some great sayings with the awesome images all together a great set. The star fish are stamped with first and second generation stamping and then punched with the Blossom Builder Punch. I forgot to mention that if you get Bundles you save 10%. Who doesn’t like saving?
Here comes the fun part instant icons
